Following our comfortable flight from Dublin direct to Antalya with Turkish Airlines, it’s soon apparent why the flight was full, a full-service flight with free meal and beverages on board and a welcome 23kg baggage allowance (with 8kg in cabin allowance), this is now a rare occurrence on flights from Ireland.

As of midnight on 22 September 2022, all COVID-19-related travel protocols ended in Barbados.
Whether vaccinated or unvaccinated, there are no testing requirements to enter Barbados.
The wearing of masks, in general, will now become optional with the exception of select areas, including healthcare facilities. Mask wearing remains mandatory for those with active COVID-19.

Pictured here are Aer Lingus First Officer Conor Murray, cabin crew members Oisin Leong and Kellie Woods, and Lander Dominguez Ruiz (Aer Lingus Director of Fleet) as Aer Lingus took delivery of its first Airbus A320neo aircraft (registration EI-NSA, named Saint Thomas). It will go into service on Wednesday 28th September and operate Aer Lingus flight EI152 from Dublin to London Heathrow. To mark the Airbus A320neo’s first flight Aer Lingus will offset the carbon emissions from the flight of all customers travelling on board.

Don Shearer (Travelbiz) was part of the very lucky trade and media delegation hosted by Deirdre Sweeney (Sunway Cruises General Manager Worldwide USA & Niche Holidays), Ciara Dromgoole (Sunway Cruise Holidays), Ingrid Hunt (NCL Senior Marketing Manager UK &Ireland) and Aaron Fletcher (BDM NCL Ireland) on the magical NCL Prima.
The group set course from Amsterdam to Zeebrugge, Le Harve and then onwards to Southampton for a truly memorable few days on Norwegian Prima. She is the first of six new ships in its class and entered service in August 2022.

Deirdre Sweeney (Sunway Cruises General Manager Worldwide, USA & Niche Holidays), Ciara Dromgoole (Sunway Cruise Holidays) and Aaron Fletcher (BDM NCL Ireland) our hosts on NCL Prima, escorted our vey lucky trade and media group from Amsterdam to Bruges.
We set sail from Amsterdam and made our way to the port of Zeebrugge availing of the opportunity to visit Bruges, where we sampled the local beers (sure you’d have too), Moules - frites and fine wines before taking in the canals, cobbled streets and medieval buildings of this very pretty historical gem of a city. NCL Guests can avail of the free shuttle bus service to the taxi pick up point from the port and grab a taxi for a short rise into the city for approximately €20.

Aer Lingus will be the only Irish and European airline to operate from Cleveland, Ohio.
Aer Lingus announced this week a new transatlantic route for summer 2023 which will see the airline operate its first service to Cleveland, Ohio direct from Dublin. Commencing on 19 May 2023 and operating four times weekly, this will be Aer Lingus’ 15th transatlantic route from Ireland and will be the only direct European service from Cleveland.

Travel Partners Group complete 2022 roadshows in Dundalk and welcome new partner American Airlines.
TPG Members; Amadeus Ireland, Hertz Ireland, ASM Ireland - ANA: Caribtours, Obeo, Solmar Villas, Ethiopian Airlines, Blue Insurance, Bookabed, Irish Ferries, MSC Cruises, Travel Focus and American Airlines touched down in Dundalk last week concluding their 2022 series of roadshows.
Over 20 agents from seven travel agencies attended the event in Dundalk and were warmly welcomed by Alan Sparling (ASM Ireland). Great food and beverages were served, followed by updates from all 10 partners and concluded with a quiz with some lovely prizes including gifts from Clarins, Nuxe, Joe Malone and Amazon to name just a few.

Minister of State at the Department of Transport, Hildegarde Naughton T.D. officially launched Cork Airport’s biggest ever winter schedule. The biggest ever winter schedule features over 1.1 million seats across 27 routes, served by 5 airlines.
Cork Airport is expected to serve 2.1 million passengers this year and customers from across the south of Ireland have an extensive range of destinations to choose from including winter sun, city break and ski holiday destinations. The Cork Airport winter schedule will operate from 30 October, 2022 through to 31 March 2023.
