Alan Sparling returns from Norway

#Traveltradetogether

Alan Sparling (ASM Ireland) who now takes care of sales for Wideroe travelled to Bergen last week to get first hand experience of the airline and Norways second largest city.

Wideroe fly twice weekly on Thursday and Sunday from Dublin to Bergen with a flight time of just 1hr 45mins. A tram whisks you into the very compact city which Alan maintains it is impossible to get lost in. The most famous landmark in the city is Bryggen, the UNESCO world cultural heritage site of Hanseatic buildings. There is so much to do in Bergen including sea swimming, trail hiking in the nearby mountains or taking a fenicular to the top of Mount Floyen for panoramic views of the city. The art galleries are numerous including KODE which exhibits an outstanding Edvard Munch exhibition (but not The Scream !)

An absolute must do tour is one called ‘Norway in a Nutshell’ which takes in the fjords & mountains of the region. This full day tour will leave lasting impressions of a truly spectacular landscape.

Alan informs that Wideroe are planning an agent fam trip for later in the year, so don’t forget to consider Bergen as an alternative city break for your clients.
