Discover Marrakesh with Aer Lingus: A VIP Journey to Morocco

#Traveltradetogether

Hot Air Balloons and Endless Bucket List Experiences Await in Magical Marrakesh.

Aer Lingus and the Moroccan Tourist Office recently teamed up to host an unforgettable VIP experience for a select group of key trade partners. The trip celebrated the launch of Aer Lingus’ new direct service from Dublin to Marrakesh — a sun-soaked Winter and Spring destination now accessible in just three and a half hours.

A Direct Route to Exotic Adventure

Since its launch in October, the Aer Lingus route to Marrakesh has opened the door for Irish holiday makers seeking short getaways or longer sun escapes. The route operates twice weekly, every Tuesday and Saturday, making it ideal for flexible travel planning. This seasonal service will continue until mid-May, resuming in mid-September 2025.

Hosted in Style

The exclusive group was hosted by Jenny Rafter, Head of Global Leisure Sales at Aer Lingus, in partnership with the Moroccan Tourist Office. The hand-picked group of trade partners included:

Vanessa Houlihan (Club Travel)

Catherine Cinnamond (Sunway Holidays)

Dylan Luke Quinn Williams (Cassidy Travel)

Peter Cullen (Click and Go)

Katrina McMullan (Travel Counsellors)

David O’Hagan (Donabate Worldchoice Travel)

Owen Kane (The Travel Department)

Their base for the journey? The stunning Sofitel Marrakech, where they enjoyed deluxe superior rooms and world-class service.

Bucket List Highlights

From the moment they landed, the itinerary was packed with unforgettable experiences. Highlights included:

Horse-drawn carriage tour through the city

Dinner at the iconic Dar Soukkar

Guided tour of the Majorelle Gardens

Lunch at Les Jardins du Lotus

Quad biking in Agafay Desert

Guided visit and tent experience at White Camel

Elegant dining at Restaurant Tobsel

Visits to Kenzi Rose Garden, Rhizlane, Riad El Fenn, and Be Live & Lodge K Hotels

Hands-on cooking class with lunch at Le Bled by Chef Moha

This carefully curated journey not only showcased the vibrant culture and warm hospitality of Morocco, but also reinforced Marrakesh as a must-visit destination for Irish holiday makers looking for Winter and glorious spring sunshine breaks.
