TravelbizTV - At Holiday World Show Dublin

31st January 2020 - 1:30pm

The RDS, Dublin was the third destination for the Holiday World Show 2020. The largest of the three events held a trade-only morning on Friday and ran until Sunday evening. In excess of 2,000 trade professionals from around the world were there to greet the 45,400 attendees as the event celebrated its 30th anniversary. Bigger and better than ever, figures showed a 15% increase year-on-year.

Friday morning saw familiar faces from the trade recount tales from the previous night’s awards ceremony. Despite the celebrations, all were bright-eyed and bushy-tailed for the mega-weekend (even if a caffeine-fuelled jolt was required).

John Spollen (President ITAA) stated, “This has been a tremendous year for Holiday World Show, with record attendance. The most popular trends for holidays this year are soft adventure holidays, active holidays and cruise holidays, with an increased interest in trips to exotic, far-flung destinations. The show really is a wonderful way to meet with the public and promote their destinations and offers”.
