Travelbiz witnessed the unveiling of Aer Lingus’ new uniform at CHQ in the IFSC on Wednesday morning, 15th January. Designed by Louise Kennedy, this marks a continuation of the refreshed branding since 2018. A diverse group of cabin crew took to the catwalk to model the 25 piece capsule collection which features trouser and dress options. This is a mix of tradition with a teal and navy colour pallet and a modern functionality with easy-care and stretch fabrics added for convenience and to flatter all body sizes.

Travelbiz’s Shane Cullen interviewed Sean Doyle (Aer Lingus CEO) who detailed the extensive staff engagement undertaken to ensure what they wanted in terms of a wearable, functional and stylish uniform was a part of the design process - even down to providing options on heel heights for the female crew.

In replying to Shane’s query on how he has found the first twelve months in his position, Sean commented that it was a fantastic time to join the airline, with excitement across the board in relation to the refreshed branding last year and new uniform collection this year.  Similarly, the announcement of new routes, particularly to the US means it is a great time to be in this business.

4,000 cabin and ground crew will start wearing the new uniform from 10th February.
