Qatar is operating 170+ flights to over 40 destinations worldwide and aiming to double destinations to 80 by the end of June. From 12th June, Qatar Airways will increase frequency and capacity on the Dublin-Doha route to an afternoon daily flight. This will be operated by an Airbus A350 for June and July returning to the Dreamliner in August. The daily flight will connect Dublin to Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth amongst other destinations.



While other airlines in the region stopped services during the crisis, Qatar Airways has continued to operate a significant schedule with over 15,000 flights to get 1.8m+ people home. The airline’s cargo division has prioritised medical and aid shipments working closely with governments and NGOs to transport over 200k tonnes of essential supplies to impacted regions. The airline has kept vital services functioning and has repatriated over 6,000 Irish passengers home since March. Shannon Airport also welcomed two 777 Qatar Airways Cargo flights from China, the flights carried over 25,000kg of PPE such as masks and thermometers, as well as ICU ventilators.



Qatar Airways is the current Skytrax Best Airline in the World and currently the largest passenger airline, the largest cargo airline and their hub, Hamad International Airport, the 3rd Best Airport in the World. The airline is currently operating over 170 weekly flights to more than 40 destinations worldwide while aiming to be flying to over 80 destinations by the end of June, subject to regulatory approval.
