House on Dublin’s Leeson Street was the trendy venue for the Malta Tourism Authority to present their wonderful wares to the Irish travel trade. Peter Vella (Director UK & Ireland) spoke passionately on his favourite subject and showcased the Maltese Islands in all their sunny glory. An island of immense diversity, Malta is a lovely holiday destination with fabulous diving opportunities in the Mediterranean, amazing architecture, historical significance (remember the Knights of Malta?) and people who are as warm as the sun. A trip to nearby Gozo is a must, a gem of a baby sister island where dry stone walls are reminiscent of the west of Ireland! Ryanair have direct flights to Malta from Dublin, so no excuse not to get a close-up flavour. A great turn out from the trade meant a fun-filled evening with lots of interest in Maltese travel.
