As part of India Tourism’s Roadshow in Dublin, Travelbiz’s Shane Cullen attended the Incredible India evening held in Radisson Blu St.Helen’s Hotel.

Travel agents had the opportunity to meet with key travel industry contacts and suppliers from India during a speed networking session. Vikas Rustagi (Joint Director General - Ministry of Tourism India) gave a lengthy and detailed speech on all aspects of this destination. Attendees experienced Indian cultural performances and were then treated to the ‘Taste of Incredible India’.

The vast country of India has so much to offer the holidaymaker or explorer, from the mesmerising marble marvel of the Taj Mahal or the forts and palaces of the Pink City, Jaipur, to mention a few. It is home to 38 UNESCO world heritage sites. India has numerous national parks (543 wildlife sanctuaries) home to Asian elephants, tigers, lions, leopards, bear, rhino as well as numerous birds and reptiles. It has the highest mountain ranges in the world, the Himalayas. It boasts diverse forests from alpine to rain forests, the longest rivers, deserts and coral islands of Andaman and Nicobar. Its coastline stretches for over 7,500km. There is a host of reasons to start exploring and it has never been easier for the Irish tourist with almost 40,000 from Ireland to India in 2018!
