G Adventures has appointed Tom Bell as director of sales for the UK and Ireland. Tom will join G Adventures on 21st October 2019, to drive the adventure travel company’s trade sales and engagement.

Overseeing G Adventures’ team of ten Global Purpose Specialists, Tom will be supported by National Sales Manager, Stu Darnley, who was promoted into his role in October 2017.

Tom will join the small-group operator to support their focus on delivering the best support and training to agents, while growing and nurturing agency partnerships across the two regions. Brian Young (Managing Director G Adventures) said, “Tom’s experience in providing excellent customer service, while delivering on ambitious business targets makes him the ideal choice to support G Adventures’ commitment and growing investment in the trade”.

“Tom comes to G Adventures with unique experience, offering a fresh new approach to leadership and development, both for our sales team and also our agency partnerships. His time at Midlands Co-Op Travel brings valuable insights and knowledge which can be applied as we drive growth amongst our independent agency partnerships,” Young continued.

Tom has spent the past seven years with the Hotelbeds Group, most recently as the Regional Manager for the UK and Ireland at Bedsonline. His seven years with Midlands Co-Op Travel saw him oversee a busy call centre, while leading the account management for 174 travel shops”.

On his appointment, Tom Bell comments, “I’m absolutely delighted to be joining G Adventures and to become part of their amazing team. It’s an exciting time for the business and I look forward to helping them change more people’s lives through travel. I’d like to thank everyone at the Hotelbeds Group for their support over the last eight years and I wish them a very successful future”.
