Travelbiz at the 153rd Open at Royal Portrush

#Traveltradetogether

Courtesy of Fiona Cunningham and Clare Mc Coy from Tourism NI, Travelbiz are on the fairways of the 153rd Open Championship at Royal Portrush.

We saw Shane (Lowry) teeing off to thunderous applause from the home crowd. And there are crowds…. 270,000 fans are expected over and on the course in the next few days. The infrastructure is superb and the course is in top condition.

The Parting Shot at the 153rd Open in Portrush

Tourism NI treated us royally at Royal Portrush for the 153rd Open. Our Press Group was mightily impressed with amazing hospitality and, from entering the VIP Origins building, Tourism NI showcased the best food and beverages that Northern Ireland offers. Emphasising provenance and freshness (everything sourced within a few miles), it was quality all the way.

Northern Ireland’s First Minister, Michelle O’Neill and Deputy First Minister, Emma Little-Pengelly joined us for breakfast. Warm and welcoming, it was obvious that Northern Ireland was extra proud to host the 153rd Open on one of the world’s best golf courses and assured us that NI was open for business too!

With the magnificent course at Royal Portrush in sublime condition, it was such a pleasure to wander around, enjoy the stunning sea views and watch the world’s greatest tee off. Rory is still in there, so c’mon Rory! Thank you to Fiona, Clare and everyone at Tourism NI for a giant welcome and a wonderful time at the 153rd Open.
