Fred Olsen's MS Balmoral visited Dublin and it was one of those rare visits when the sun shone, car parking was no hassle, the food was superb and everything went according to plan.   “If Carlsberg did Ship Visits they would have chosen this one” advised Alan Lynch (MD Cruisescapes).   “It was a great opportunity for agents from around the country to see what Fred Olsen ships have to offer.   All agents were presently surprised and only one of them had ever been on a Fred Olsen ship before” said Alan.

Not only did Cruisescapes explain the target market for Fred Olsen Cruises, they outlined the benefits of small ship cruising, which are surprisingly numerous, like no tendering in busy ports such as St Petersburg, cruising into fjords which are impossible to navigate with larger ships and no queuing for food, silver service is available at all meals if the client prefers.   These are just a few of the selling tips shared with us.

Amanda O'Brien (American Holiday) added “When you step on board Balmoral you get the feeling of what traditional cruising is all about”.

The welcoming staff, relaxed atmosphere, also the fabulous choice of food and restaurants to eat in.   “A lot of agents have a preconceived idea of the Fred Olsen ships that they are out dated and the standard and service is not what you'd expect on board a 4 star ship.   The fact is that they are quite the opposite, excellent service and food with high standards and bright welcoming decor.   Of all the cruises we sell Fred Olsen has the highest repeat clientele” added Alan.   The message was clear, "Do not miss this opportunity the clients are out there."
