Finnair and Fiji Airways announced a new partnership between the two Oneworld Alliance airlines. The codeshare puts new exotic South Pacific locations on the Finnair route map as Finnair customers can now fly around the world on Finnair flight numbers. Customers can already book tickets on for travel to Fiji from London via Helsinki, opening up a range of incredible new destinations.

The deal between Finnair and Fiji Airways is the first between the two Oneworld alliance partners. Fiji Airways joined the alliance, crowned the world’s top airline alliance for the seventh year in a row, as its first Oneworld connect partner in Dec 18.

The new codeshare partnership on flights between Helsinki and Nadi in Fiji, further boosts Finnair’s extensive route network, which already boasts 19 destinations throughout Asia and the Far East, including flights to more Japanese cities than any other European airline. Finnair flies up to seven times daily from Heathrow to Helsinki, double daily from Manchester, six times a week from Edinburgh and nine times a week from Dublin. Passengers can enjoy quick and convenient connections in Helsinki, from as little as 35 minutes to Asia and the Far East.

With a 14-strong fleet of Airbus A350 aircraft, the airline provides unparalleled levels of travel comfort with the carrier’s famed Nordic design and contemporary style on short and long-haul routes, with a focus on flights to Asia and the Far East.
