Etihad celebrate 10th Anniversary with trade lunch
11th August 2017 - 3:25pm
Jacinta Mc Glynn (Senior Reporter Travelbiz) was a guest of Etihad Airlines to mark 10 years on the Dublin Abu Dhabi route. Celebrating its 10th anniversary in Ireland, Etihad hosted a wonderful lunch in the Constitution Room of the Shelbourne Hotel. Beatrice Cosgrove (Etihad Country Manager Ireland) welcomed all of us and spoke eloquently about Etihad’s success to date. Stating that Etihad had come a long way in a short time (just like its home Abu Dhabi), Beatrice spoke of the vision that Etihad should become the best airline in the world. Flying re-imagined, Travelbiz can attest to the excellent onboard service, the sophisticated black and gold livery and professional and friendly staff.
Beatrice was happy to report that airline uniforms have been re-designed, the fleet has grown exponentially and Etihad now flies to 62 destinations worldwide. In 2013, Etihad carried their one millionth passenger. This airline is simply moving skyward. Assisted by her superb team, Shannon O’Dowd, Lisa O’Leary, Val Murphy, Liza Hammond, Mo Rahma and Robert Duff, Beatrice is justifiably proud of Etihad’s performance. Leading travel agents from Dublin and countrywide were in attendance to extend Etihad every good wish and offer their support. Stephen O’Reilly (Dublin Airport) was the lucky winner of two Etihad airline tickets. Con Horgan (formerly Abbey Travel) kindly said a few words of thanks to Beatrice and the Etihad team for a delightful afternoon and wished them continued success. Up, up and away!
