Brand new to the Falcon Family: Splashworld Hotel Globales Bouganvilla - TravelBiz.ie gets the first look!

All new to the 2016 programme is the recently acquired Hotel Globales Bouganvilla.   Set out like a mini village, complete with its own Spar newsagent onsite, the Bouganvilla has so much to offer families.   It is tucked away in a quiet residential area in Sa Coma, c.2km from the beach and about 1.5km from the resort centre.   The hotel provides a free shuttle to/from Sa Coma - the Bouganvilla Boogie Bus!   There are studio, 1-bed and 2-bed apartments (1 & 2 bed have kitchenettes).    There is also a buffet restaurant, steakhouse and an all new ireal reason you’ll come here is the fact Falcon and TUI have spent the last year transforming this 3 star property into one of the latest and greatest Splashworld properties.

For those that are unaware, Splashworld means a water park on site with an array of thrilling slides: a see-saw slide, aqua racer with 4 slides in 1, 2 kamikaze, 2 tornado tube rides and a splash park area with water guns and jets, a bubble pool and normal pool.   One of the kamikaze slides launches you into the water from a height of 12 meters.   There are two kiddie splash areas for the younger children, equipped with an endlessly entertaining giant bucket that fills then tips on unsuspecting parents and glee filled children!   The two very sizeable outdoor pools have ample sun loungers and parasols for the lazy sun worshipers.

My biggest regret on undergoing this assignment was not packing a pair of togs on this hotel visit.   If I was a 7 year old kid again, my parents wouldn’t see me for the whole holiday, well maybe to gorge on the buffet occasionally but this is any child’s nirvana (& adults like me).
