Bradley International Airport launches drive-through COVID-19 Testing

Bradley International Airport has made significant enhancements to its COVID-19 testing facilities in response to strong interest from the travelling public.

On the 23rd November, BDL launched its on-site drive-through testing service, which allows the public and BDL passengers to receive a COVID-19 test safely, without leaving their vehicle. Tests, which involve a small nasal swab for both nostrils, take less than five minutes to administer, and results are usually provided within 72 hours.

This expanded testing service follows the announcement of increased proactive measures being taken by BDL in relation to COVID-19, including the hiring of additional staff to cater for the heavy demand of testing as well as a new, automated registration and notification system allowing passengers to register and receive results seamlessly in one convenient portal.
