Visit USA Committee Ireland 4th July Barbecue
Tara Magee (Chairperson VUSA) and Tony Lane (Executive Director VUSA) hosted a fun barbecue in Dublin’s Nolita on South Great George’s St last night.
A huge crowd of travel agents and airline personnel were in attendance and the venue was buzzing.
Special guests representing Deep South (Jessica & Hannah (Travel & Tourism Marketing) wooed us with the romance of Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee and even gave Elvis the King a fond mention! We also heard about the huge State of Colorado where wide open spaces lead to adventures of hiking, skiing and mountaineering.
Edel Redmong (Marketing & PR Manager) Dublin Airport assured us that passenger numbers are still rising and Dublin Airport shows no sign of slowing down. Aoife Gregg (United Airlines) equally determined that Irish holidaymakers are flying across the pond and numbers show no sign of abating.
The Irish love affair with the States is a constant and the celebrations to mark America’s 250th Birthday were awesome.
