Inaugural visit by Minister Jack Chambers to Shannon Airport
2nd March 2023 at 3:30 pm The Shannon Airport Group welcomed Minister Jack Chambers TD to Shannon Airport, in what was his inaugural visit as Minister of State for the Department of Transport.
The Minister, who was met by Conal Henry (Chair Shannon Airport Group) and Mary Considine (Group CEO) was briefed on the facilities and operations at the airport and activities across the broader Shannon Campus, which he visited prior to his arrival at the airport.
Estonia Celebrates 105 years of Independence
2nd March 2023 at 3:30 pm Jacinta (Travelbiz) attended the joyous celebration of Estonia marking the occasion of the 105th anniversary of the country becoming a republic. Estonia’s Ambassador to Ireland, Her Excellency Mrs Kairi Kunka, hosted a reception in the Hibernian Club on Dublin’s St Stephen’s Green on February 23rd. H.E. Mrs Kunka spoke passionately of Estonia’s support and solidarity with near neighbour, Ukraine, and it is perhaps no coincidence that the vicious and immoral war in Ukraine is marked one full year this week.
Both the independence of Estonia and tragedy of Ukraine’s ongoing struggle was not lost on anyone. H.E. Mrs Kunka also thanked Ireland for valued empathy and support.

Key trade operators from the region (VioViajes, Pilgrim, GaliWonders, InterRias, Art Nature and Rutasmeigas) were hard at work on February 9th highlighting the beauty and diversity of Galicia and vowing to get us walking the Camino! Ruben Lopez, Director of the Spanish TO in Dublin, regaled us with his fond memories of the area, the land of his forefathers.
