Ibiza Family Moments – Find the Real Treasure

Ibiza Family Moments – Find the Real Treasure

Ibiza has traditionally been a very popular holiday destination for families from both the domestic market and the main European markets. Every year, Ibiza is visited by many families who, for several decades, have chosen the island as their holiday destination. These families have remained loyal to the island, and it is not uncommon to see three different generations sharing a holiday.

Family tourism is one of the segments which, according to data from our Tourism Intelligence System, accounts for longer stays on the island, as approximately 60% of the families who come to Ibiza stay for more than 7 nights. In addition, it should be noted that the average budget for each member of the family is higher than the general average expenditure, amounting to €215 per day. With regard to other qualitative criteria in this segment, the families who visit us score an overall satisfaction rating of 86 points out of a hundred.

Accommodation updates 2025 2026

For all these reasons, the Ibiza Island Council (Consell Insular de Ibiza) and the island’s five town councils have signed a collaboration agreement to promote this segment under the name of Ibiza Family Moments.

Ibiza Family Moments is a product club launched in 2016 by the Santa Eulària des Riu Town Council with the aim of promoting Ibiza in the family tourism segment and, since mid-2024, the island’s regional and municipal institutions have been committed to its implementation on an islandwide level.

This label distinguishes hotels, restaurants, complementary services, events, trails and public tourist resources such as Tourist Information Offices, museums and interpretation centres, among others, which offer a product and/or service aimed at the family segment.

The label was created with the aim of guaranteeing minimum standards of quality, services and safety to ensure that families with children visiting the island can be sure that they will find services and infrastructures geared towards their wellbeing and that the experiences on Ibiza will be authentic, safe, inclusive and enriching for all types of family.

Ibiza Family Moments compiles all the practical information of the product club so that, on a single website, families can find everything they need for their next holiday on the island. Currently, 31 companies are now part of the project, including accommodation establishments (more than 10,000 beds), restaurants and complementary services, and 50 public resources including beaches, museums and interpretation centres. And we have only just begun!
