Orient Express Unveils Its 2027 Sailing Itineraries – From the Mediterranean to Northern Europe

Faithful to a heritage shaped by innovation and the French art of living, Orient Express continues its vision of exceptional travel and expands its horizons once more. After an initial season of sailing planned through the Mediterranean and the Caribbean in 2026, Orient Express Corinthian, the world’s largest sailing yacht, will welcome her sister-yacht, Orient Express Olympian, in 2027. Together, they will unveil a new collection of itineraries.

As with previous journeys, each route will follow the most favourable winds, reducing environmental impact while offering a distinctive maritime experience.

2027 SEASON: NEW HORIZONS ACROSS THE MEDITERRANEAN AND NORTHERN EUROPE

Alongside the emblematic routes of the Côte d’Azur, the Italian Riviera and the Adriatic, Orient Express now introduces new voyages through Greece, Türkiye, the United Kingdom and Northern Europe.

ORIENT EXPRESS: A VOYAGE FOR THE SENSES

The interiors of Corinthian and Olympian are designed by architect Maxime d’Angeac, Artistic

Director of Orient Express, who reimagines the golden age of rail and the splendour of early

ocean liners through a contemporary lens. He is joined by leading French artisans whose savoir-faire shapes every detail on board.

With only 54 suites, each opening onto a private terrace or generous panoramic windows, both

yachts offer an experience of rare intimacy. Their expansive suites, along with the dining,

wellness and social spaces, create a rare sense of openness at sea.

The new itineraries lead to destinations that are both iconic and carefully selected, combining

curated cultural encounters, preserved shorelines, bespoke experiences, gastronomy imagined

by multi-Michelin-starred chef Yannick Alléno, and wellness moments crafted by Guerlain.

Equipped with advanced environmental technologies, the sailing yachts minimise their impact

while delivering voyages designed to be remembered.

THE EASTERN MEDITERRANEAN, SELECTED ITINERARIES

From Piraeus to Istanbul, across the Aegean and the Sporades

Departing from Piraeus, the yacht departs the Saronic Gulf and enters the Ageaan Sea. The

Cyclades, then Mykonos, mark the beginning of a north-eastern arc leading to the Sporades

and the waters of the Thracian Sea, before reaching the entrance to the Bosphorus. An arrival

in Istanbul, nestled between two continents, through the legendary strait that, by the way of

the Sea of Marmara connects the Aegean to the Black Sea.

From Valletta to Piraeus, through the Ionian Sea and the Peloponnese

After crossing the Strait of Otranto, the route reaches the Ionian Islands, from Kerkira to

Cephalonia. The yacht then traces the western coast of the Peloponnese, enters Navarino Bay,

rounds Cape Maleas and returns to the Aegean, towards Monemvasia, Hydra and finally

Piraeus.

UNITED KINGDOM & NORTHERN EUROPE, SELECTED ITINERARIES

From London to Honfleur, via the English Channel and its estuaries

The voyage begins on the Thames, then follows the south coast of England to Torquay and

Cowes, at the heart of the Solent, one of the world’s great sailing landmarks. The course

continues towards Saint-Malo, facing the spectacular bay of Mont-Saint-Michel, before

reaching Honfleur, gateway to the Seine estuary and its inner basins.

From London to Copenhagen, via the North Sea and the Oslofjord

Leaving London, the yacht follows Britain’s eastern coastline to Edinburgh, approached

through the broad estuary of the Firth of Forth. Further north, Aberdeen marks the transition

to Norway and the Oslofjord, a long, sculpted fjord leading directly to the capital. The journey

then continues through the Danish straits — Skagerrak, Kattegat and Øresund — before arriving in Copenhagen, on the threshold of the Baltic Sea.

From Copenhagen to London, through the Danish straits, Norwegian fjords and the North Sea

From Copenhagen, the route heads towards Skagen, where the waters of the Skagerrak and

the Kattegat meet in a striking natural convergence. The yacht then follows the Norwegian

coast into the Bergenfjord, framed by steep mountains. The return journey crosses the North

Sea to Aberdeen, continues to Edinburgh by way of the Firth of Forth, and concludes back in

London on the Thames.
