NYC Restaurant Week – the World’s First Restaurant Week – Celebrated as Part of Founded By NYC Initiative Celebrating 400 Years of NYC History.

New York City Tourism + Conventions, the official destination marketing organization and convention and visitors bureau for the five boroughs of New York City, today announced that reservations for NYC Restaurant Week® Summer 2025 are now open at nyctourism.com/restaurantweek for dining from Monday, July 21 through Sunday, August 17. The twice-yearly program offers diners an opportunity to enjoy nearly 600 restaurants across all five boroughs offering more than 50 styles of cuisines in over 70 neighborhoods, at a value. Participating restaurants will offer two-course lunch and/or three-course dinner prix-fixe menus including classic, favorite, and new items. Meals are priced at $30, $45 or $60 and vary by restaurant. Taxes and gratuity are not included; Saturdays are excluded from the program, and Sundays are optional.

“We’re thrilled to kick off NYC Restaurant Week, a tradition founded by New York City that invites locals and visitors to savor the diversity of our dining scene, with nearly 600 participating restaurants across all five boroughs,” said Julie Coker, President and CEO of New York City Tourism + Conventions. “From neighborhood gems to world-class destinations, this program is a reminder of what makes dining out in NYC so special; flavor, culture, and the joy of discovering a new spot on a summer evening, all at an incredible value. As New York City welcomes an expected 17.7 million visitors between Memorial Day and Labor Day, Restaurant Week is an opportunity for them to experience the best of our city’s culinary scene while supporting local businesses”.

“From tapas in Riverdale to samosas in New Dorp, New York City’s culinary scene captures every dish, cuisine, and culture. There’s no better way to celebrate that rich diversity than NYC Restaurant Week,” said New York City Mayor Eric Adams. “Restaurants are a vital part of our city, employing more than 300,000 hard-working residents of our city and bringing even more together to spend quality time with one another. And the deals participating restaurants are offering during NYC Restaurant Week are just another way we’re making our city more affordable for working-class New Yorkers. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, now is the time to explore, enjoy, and support the restaurants that keep our city’s spirit thriving”.

Diners can browse participating restaurants using filters such as “cuisine,” “borough,” “neighborhood,” “accessibility,” “meal type,” “weeks participating,” and “has menu.” In honor of the City’s 400th anniversary, a new “Founded By NYC” filter allows diners to discover restaurants offering a special dish or drink—whether it’s a signature item the restaurant is known for, a menu item that originated in New York City, or a $16.25 special paying tribute to the year New York City was founded.

My family looks forward to welcoming everyone to the heart of Harlem”.

“Summer is one of the most exciting times of the year in New York City especially with the return of NYC Restaurant Week, a beloved program that’s become a cornerstone of the City’s culinary scene,” said chef and restauranteur David Burke, co-chair of the New York City Tourism + Conventions Culinary Committee ”. Since 1992, NYC Restaurant Week has invited locals and visitors from around the globe to experience the restaurants, both iconic and new, that define dining in this city, all at an unbeatable value. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back this summer to celebrate New York City’s vibrant, cherished dining culture”.

Participating restaurants have the option to extend NYC Restaurant Week offerings for an additional two weeks, through September 2.

As part of the Founded By NYC campaign commemorating 400 years of NYC, a new original content piece on the history of NYC Restaurant Week will be published at nyctourism.com/the-history-of-new-york-city-restaurant-week.
