Moving on Up with DoSomethingDifferent and Summit NYC

#Traveltradetogether

#TRAVELTRADETOGETHER

DoSomethingDifferent and Summit NYC recently hosted and updated Irish travel agent partners on New York’s newest and most transformational experience with Graham Hennessy (DoSomethingDifferent) and Tryphavana Cross (Representing NYC and Co in Ireland).

Summit One Vanderbilt NYC is a new cultural experience that breaks the mould awakening your senses, your imagination and your curiosity all in the heart of New York City.

After a day of training with travel agent partners, Graham, Tryphavana, Angie, Claire and Fabio hosted agents over a lovely dinner in the Grayson.

New York’s most transformational experience is SUMMIT One Vanderbilt. Explore three levels of mind-bending multi-sensory immersive experiences that will forever change the way you view New York at any time. Day or night.

Blending elements of art and technology, SUMMIT takes the concept of an ‘observation deck’ to entirely new heights. Atop the fourth tallest skyscraper in New York City, SUMMIT One Vanderbilt compels you to question your perception of the city, the environment and yourself through a collection of breath taking installations.

AIR – A five part story-driven immersive art experience designed by Kenzo Digital, mixing transparency and reflectivity to create the illusion of boundless space. Every moment in Transcendence offers a tantalizing singular experience of infinite reflection unique to that moment in time. AIR becomes interactive and playful in Affinity as reflective orbs encourage physical connectivity to the space.

AIR AT NIGHT- As the sun sets, the magic of AIR takes new form as dramatic waves of colour electrify Transcendence and Affinity, turning SUMMIT into a beacon of light and energy, visible to all of New York City and beyond.

LEVITATION- Glass enclosed skyboxes allow thrill-seekers to step out from the envelope of the building onto transparent glass 1,070 ft above Madison Avenue directly overlooking the hustle and bustle of New York City streets beneath them.

ASCENT- The most daring go even higher on a sensory defying all-glass elevator starting from the Outdoor Terrace to reach SUMMIT’s highest elevation and the highest viewing point in Midtown at 1,210 ft. Included in SUMMIT ASCENT and ULTIMATE SUMMIT tickets only.

REFLECT- On display in the most famous art galleries across the world and now at SUMMIT, Yayoi Kusama’s infamous CLOUDS is comprised of reflective cloud-like shapes, creating an expansive imaginative atmosphere that stretches beyond SUMMIT.

APRES- The sky-high indoor café and outdoor terrace bar features bespoke light fare and an innovative cocktail program accented with breathtaking views with visibility spanning up to 80 miles.

Conveniently in the heart of midtown, the entrance of SUMMIT One Vanderbilt is located on the Main Concourse Level of Manhattan’s Grand Central Terminal through the new Vanderbilt Transit Corridor. Open Wednesdays through Sundays, SUMMIT Experience tickets start at just $39. For a complete list of hours, experience detail and to get your tickets, visit HERE.
