This is Cleveland Ohio

#Traveltradetogether

Declan Mescall (Travelbiz Features Editor) brings you more from Cleveland Ohio as a guest of Aer Lingus and This Is Cleveland.

On the second morning of our Aer Lingus /Destination Cleveland FAM trip to Cleveland, Ohio to promote the new four times weekly DUB-CLE service we went by coach on a 30 minute drive to Cuyahoga Valley National Park, one of 18 Metro Parks in the Cleveland area and 63 Nation Parks in the US. A Park Ranger gave us a guided tour of the Boston Park visitor centre and took us on a short hike along one of the many scenic towpath trails.

On route back to Cleveland we visited Brandywine Falls for an obligatory photo shoot high above the waterfall. Our lunch stop was at the unique Happy Dog burger and hotdog corner bar and eatery in the Detroit Shoreway neighbourhood where we met the owner Sean Waterson, a former corporate attorney who turned his back on the law for a more laid back lifestyle serving great food, beers and lots of live music from rock and country to punk and polka. The menu has over 65 toppings & dips for the delicious dogs and burgers. A great spot. A short walkabout of the neighbourhood followed before we headed to City Goods local market, a cluster of independent boutiques in a former very rundown area that is now gentrified.
