Asia’s Leading DMC, Diethelm Travel, Unveils New Brand Identity at WTM 2023

#Traveltradetogether

As DTH Travel, the company retains its 66 year legacy, expertise and core values while embracing a new forward-thinking ethos

Diethelm Travel, a leading DMC company with a rich heritage of more than 66 years, announced today, at World Travel Market 2023, a brand refresh and transformation to DTH Travel. More than just a change in name and logo, the unveiling of DTH Travel marks the dawn of a new era for the company, introducing fresh elements and an innovative approach to doing business.

As DTH Travel, the company retains its legacy, expertise and core values while embracing a new forward-thinking ethos. The emphasis of the rebrand is on revitalisation and modernisation, bringing with it exciting new products and continued commitment to sustainability and meaningful travel experiences.

“For 66 remarkable years, DTH Travel has been on an extraordinary voyage, mastering 13 diverse countries within Asia and connecting travellers with unforgettable journeys. Throughout our own incredible journey, we have witnessed continuous changes as horizons expanded and the world evolved. Today marks a defining moment for us: our rebrand signals a transformative shift, breathing new life into our identity and purpose, and ensuring we remain relevant in these ever-evolving times. It’s a profound reflection of the changes in our world, industry, and communities, that have reshaped our ethos and equipped us to step confidently into the 21st century,” said Stephan Roemer, CEO of DTH Travel.

DTH Travel’s new manifesto is centred on four key pillars that define the essence of the brand:

  1. Industry Experts

With decades of experience and deep knowledge of each destination, DTH Travel’s team of local experts in their offices across 13 destinations are committed to delivering unparalleled service to their trade partners and customers.

  1. Tailor-made Experiences

DTH Travel believes that every traveller is unique, and so should their holiday; the team’s expertise ensures that every journey is curated and tailored to individual preferences.

  1. Community Experts

DTH Travel is committed to the development of key products that empower and benefit local communities at a grassroots level. By engaging with and supporting local businesses and initiatives, DTH ensures an enriching and authentic travel experience while contributing positively to the destinations they operate in.

  1. Progressive Vision

Embracing innovation and technology, DTH Travel’s recent adoption of TourPlan, the world’s leading software system for DMC’s, has allowed them to fully digitalise their distribution process making it easier and more convenient for clients to package products efficiently, and generate fast and accurate quotes for customers.

“We have reinvented ourselves and reignited our own passion for adventure and exploration. Our affection for crafting journeys that stir the soul and create unforgettable memories for all who travel with us remains unchanged, as is our commitment to clients. We are proud to offer them our best service and products yet,” continued Roemer.

Over the last 5 years, DTH Travel has made significant strides towards developing new products with authenticity at the heart, curating tours and experiences that involve and benefit more local communities and enterprises, keeping responsible travel at its core. From visiting a local drum manufacturer who, for generations, has been making and supplying drums used in temple ceremonies in Thailand, visiting weaving communities in Bohol to see how locals use natural products to create beautiful and trendy raffia bags and baskets in the Philippines, to discovering new destinations such as Sabah in Malaysia, meeting the local Dusan tribe in their village, set in a valley at the foothills of Mount Kinabalu and surrounded by paddy fields and fruit orchards.

Under Stephan’s new leadership, the team is expanding with the next generation of travel professionals, with young and energetic individuals who share in Roemer’s vision for progress: “Their fresh perspectives have invigorated our company culture, and with this newfound focus and digitalisation of our service, we have propelled towards new successes and profitability again. As we embark on this exciting new chapter, I want to extend my sincere gratitude to our incredible team and our loyal clients who have supported us thus far.”

The company is also excited about its expansion plans, with a new office scheduled to open in Japan in the first quarter of 2024.

“As DTH Travel we are proud to move forward with a tech-driven focus on creating and providing innovative, authentic, tailor-made, and responsible tourism products that will shape the next chapter of discovery in Asia” concluded Roemer.
