This announcement represents Ryanair’s fourth base in Morocco, with two based aircraft (investment of $200m) and 25 routes including 13 new routes connecting Tangier with 8 new European cities and 5 new Moroccan destinations for Summer ’24. Ryanair is also proud to announce the arrival of its legendary ultra-low fares on 11 Moroccan domestic routes – boosting internal connectivity and stimulating traffic growth across the Kingdom.

Our latest base opening takes Ryanair’s total investment in Morocco to over US$1.4bn, supporting over 5,000 direct and indirect jobs and delivering growth in the local tourism economy. We look forward to continuing to support Morocco’s economy, as well as regional & international connectivity, by positioning Tangier as a leading Summer destination with its museums, medina, souq and, of course, its beautiful beaches.

Ryanair wishes to renew our sincere thanks to His Excellency Mr. Aziz Akhannouch, Head of Government of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, his Ministers of Transport and Tourism, Mr. Mohammed Abdeljalil and Ms. Fatim-Zahra Ammor, as well as Mr. Adel El-Fakir, former CEO of the Moroccan National Tourist Office and new CEO of Moroccan Airports Authority  for their vision and trust in securing this record investment for Morocco. Together we will continue to develop Morocco’s infrastructure, connectivity and tourism, all of which will be underpinned and stimulated by Ryanair’s legendary low fares and industry leading punctuality”.

To mark the base opening, we are launching an unmissable seat sale, with prices from 159 MAD for travelctober 2024, available only on www.ryanair.com
