Brand USA Announces Dates for U.K. & Ireland MegaFam 2024

Brand USA, the destination marketing organisation for the United States, in partnership with Aer Lingus, American Airlines and British Airways, is delighted to announce the dates for their annual U.K. and Ireland MegaFam: 25 September to 3 October 2024.

This will be the ninth iteration of the U.K. & Ireland MegaFam, which will see 60 U.K. & Irish agents experience a number of itineraries in the USA this autumn. For the first time, Brand USA will partner with Aer Lingus for the trip, alongside long standing airline partners, British Airways and American Airlines.

The multi destination familiarisation trip is a rare opportunity for agents to connect with leading local businesses on the ground, and gain valuable first hand destination knowledge. Six distinctive itineraries will explore the diverse landscapes and cityscapes of a number of U.S. destinations including; Arizona, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida,  Colorado and Michigan.

Concluding a rich itinerary of excursions, this year’s finale will take place in Chicago, Illinois. The signature event will bring all agents together for a grand celebration and the chance to share anecdotes and highlights, amplifying their experiences and increasing destination knowledge across the groups.

Agents will have the opportunity to win a place on the trip through participating in an incentive that will run from 13 May to 30 June. More details below.

Jackie Ennis, vice president, Global Trade Development for Brand USA: ‘The annual MegaFAM is hugely valuable for the success of our U.K. & Irish agents to gain in depth product knowledge first hand, and learn about the vast range of experience the US can offer beyond the gateways. We are delighted to be partnering with Aer Lingus for the first time this year, alongside American Airlines and British Airways, which will allow us to continue to highlight new routes and the huge accessibility to U.S. destinations from the U.K. & Ireland.

How to get involved?

To win a place on the trip, agents will be required to log their bookings made with Aer Lingus, American Airlines and British Airways from 13 May – 30 June 2024. Agents will also be required to complete the MegaFam Airlines Badge on the newly revamped USA Discovery Program, Brand USA’s official agent training site.
