Finnair flies high with return to Nagoya and bumper 2024 UK/Ireland schedule

#Traveltradetogether

New routes to Nagoya, Faro, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote.

Expanded capacity European capacity with increased frequencies to Manchester, Edinburgh and Dublin.

Finnair has unveiled its expanded 2024 network, as it continues to increase its European and Asian customer offering.

The new super schedule has been announced in response to the increased demand for global travel across both Europe and Asia, and includes four new routes and numerous frequency additions.

From 30 May 2024, customers will be able to jump back into Japan, with a newly resumed twice-weekly connection between Helsinki and Nagoya – Japan’s fourth largest city. The route had previously been suspended in 2020 due to the pandemic.

Known for its cuisine and economic importance, Finnair’s flights to Nagoya will support the airline’s existing services to Osaka, Tokyo-Haneda and Tokyo-Narita.

The Nordic airline is also reinforcing its winter 2024 flying programme, as demand for European winter sun and snow holidays grow in popularity.

Ole Orvér, Finnair Chief Commercial Officer, said: “We are delighted to resume our connection to Nagoya, where we used to fly before the pandemic.

“We already fly to Tokyo Haneda and Narita as well as Osaka, and in the summer season 2024, we’ll have a total of twenty weekly frequencies to Japan.

“We will also have a very compelling leisure offering to popular holiday destinations for the winter season of 2024.”

As part of the winter uplift, customers based in the UK & Ireland will also benefit from even more flights to Manchester, Edinburgh and Dublin.

From October 2024, those travelling between England and Helsinki, will be able to enjoy double daily flights direct from Manchester, up from nine this winter, and 29 from London Heathrow, bringing the Finnish capital even closer.

From Scotland, the Nordic airline will also add an additional two weekly flights to Helsinki, bringing the service up to six times per week in the winter.

Across the Irish Sea, the carrier will also increase direct flights to Helsinki from eight to 10 weekly in winter 2024, giving customers better connectivity to Finland and beyond.

From October 2024, Finnair will also launch new twice-weekly flights from Helsinki to Faro, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote, as it expands its European leisure offering.

Finnair will also add capacity to the beachy paradise of Gran Canaria next winter, with flights now being operated by the airline’s flagship long-haul A350, replacing the previously used A321s.

The airline will also be adding extra flights to Reykjavík, in response to demand for travel to Iceland.

Services have been specifically timed to allow for easy connections from the UK & Ireland onto Finnair’s extensive global network within Europe, Asia and the US.

Finnair offers smooth and easy transfers between flights from as little as 35 minutes, thanks to all flights operating from the same terminal.

All flights can be booked at Finnair.com or with travel agents. For more information visit finnair.com.
