Over 100 Exhibitors Mark a Decade of Ireland’s Largest Travel Trade Shows

The Official ITAA Mid term Shows successfully concluded last night, with Cork hosting the event on Wednesday, 22nd April at The Metropole Hotel, followed by Dublin on Thursday, 23rd April at The InterContinental Hotel, Ballsbridge.

Now in their tenth year, these flagship events, organised on behalf of the Irish Travel Agents Association (ITAA) by Bizex, welcomed over 100 leading global travel brands across both locations. The shows once again delivered a valuable platform for licensed and bonded travel agents, tour operators, and travel media to connect, strengthen partnerships, and explore new business opportunities.

The Travelbiz team of Ita Hendrick and Peter O’Hanlon, were on the ground actively networking with trade partners bringing our Travelbiz subscribers and followers comprehensive coverage and updates from the events.

The trade engaged with a diverse range of exhibitors spanning airlines, cruise operators, national and regional tourism organisations, car hire companies, theme and leisure parks, international hotel groups, technology providers, financial services companies, and travel insurance specialists.

Both events concluded with well-attended networking receptions, providing further opportunities for meaningful industry engagement and relationship building.

The Irish Travel Trade Show Dublin was supported by Dublin Airport, while the Cork event, including its networking reception, was supported by the Spanish Tourism Office.

Clare Dunne, CEO of the ITAA, reflected on the milestone year: “For the past decade, the Irish Travel Trade Shows have demonstrated their value to the industry. They provide a vital space for agents and tour operators to strengthen relationships with suppliers and create new connections. We look forward to these events each year with pride and enthusiasm, recognising the opportunities they bring to everyone in the trade”.

Maria Hourican, CEO of Business Exhibitions and organiser of the Irish Travel Trade Shows, added: “This year, we were delighted to welcome 35 new suppliers in Dublin and 23 in Cork, creating even more opportunities for business growth”.

In addition to the exhibition floor, the ITAA hosted complimentary training sessions exclusively for members ahead of both shows. Running from 1:45pm to 5pm, the sessions included two focused modules and provided practical, actionable insights for agents.

The first session, “Closing the Sale – Human Behaviour That Blocks the Booking,” explored the psychology behind hesitation when asking for the sale, equipping attendees with techniques to confidently convert enquiries into bookings.

The second session, “Mobile Video Content Creation for Travel Agents,” offered a hands-on workshop enabling agents to create engaging, scroll-stopping content using their smartphones. Participants produced short videos during the show, ready for immediate use across their social channels, maximising the value of Fam trips and in-market experiences.
