TIGS A Summer Sizzler at Castleknock with TUI Ireland.

#Traveltradetogether

TIGS celebrated the ‘Last of the Summer Wine’ (well, summer season!) at Castleknock Golf Club in Dublin on Friday 22nd July, a fitting end to a great series of summer golf games in 2022. The fun format of a scramble saw teams of four vie for the prizes. Dave Smith and the incredible team at TUI stepped up to the plate with generous sponsorship for the day, so grateful thanks from Captain Olwen and the hardworking committee who were delighted to accept the offer to add to the festive atmosphere.

astleknock is a tough enough course with plenty of water (swimsuits and rubber rings optional) and there may have been a few balls that splish splashed (I only speak from personal experience, doncha know!) and skimmed the edge as several bemused swans and moorhens nonchalantly glided away.

As is tradition with the final summer game, a delicious barbecue was served and an al fresco meal was the perfect finish to a great day of camaraderie and a wonderful day of golf. The weather even obliged! Well done to all the worthy winners (and Travelbiz even featured in the winning enclosure!), and appreciation to TIGS and all who sail in her! We’re already looking forward to President’s Day on 6th September when our President, Con Horgan, hosts us at Royal Dublin Golf Club. Travel Industry Golf Society is a super way to network with travel colleagues and friends, so join up today. Start swinging and get practicing! Many thanks again to TIGS and TUI for the generous sponsorship.
