Morocco: A Rising Star for Irish Holidaymakers!

#Traveltradetogether

Don Shearer (Travelbiz) joined fellow trade and media partners to celebrate Morocco in the highly recommended Dada restaurant which offers a unique fusion of authentic Moorish-inspired dishes in beautiful Moorish surroundings.

Meryem Bennouna (UK & Ireland Director Visit Morocco) was also joined by Jenny Rafter, Head of Global sales for Aer Lingus who fly direct from Dublin non-stop to Marrakech from September through to mid-May 3 days a week, providing Irish holidaymakers a vibrant, exotic escape that feels worlds away—but is just over 3 hours from Dublin. The route is also serviced all year round by Sunway holidays and TUI Ireland with holiday options to both Marrakech, Agadir and more.

The Irish trade recently sampled some of the vast range of destination highlights on the Aer Lingus fam to Marrakech with all members raving about the quality and value Morocco has to offer the Irish holidaymaker. We have shared some memories for you from our Travelbiz Trade Partner Hub: https://travelbiz.ie/discover-marrakesh-with-aer-lingus-a-vip-journey-to-morocco/

Morocco is thriving as an Irish holiday destination—delivering sharp growth, excellent value, and a widening array of flight options. It’s not just a niche choice anymore; it’s fast becoming a mainstream pick for Irish travellers seeking sun, culture, coast, and adventure. Last year Morocco surpassed Egypt in passenger number worldwide with over 17.4million visitors, an increase of 20% on 2023! Irish holiday searches to Morocco rose to over 39% in 2025 to date compared to 2024.
