The next stop on our visit to California was L.A., the entertainment capital of the world where we were generously hosted by Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board. We stayed for two nights in Lowes Hotel, Hollywood which is located in the centre of all the action at Hollywood and Highland, a perfect base for moving and shaking-Hollywood style, right next to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Our gracious host during our stay was Greg Nigh (Director of Sales Lowes Hotel, Hollywood) who gave us a tour of the hotel which is next door to the Dolby Theatre where the Oscars ceremony is held and is home to the press rooms where newly-minted Oscar-winners meet the media, as well as the location of the star studded Governor’s Ball. On our first evening we walked to dinner in the nearby Hard Rock Cafe, Hollywood and took in the eclectic atmosphere. We even stopped for a while to watch a movie in the making on Hollywood Boulevard. Great buzz.
