Uniworld River Cruises Announces Updated Cancellation Policy

Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection appreciates the high level of uncertainty their valued trade partners are facing. With the situation changing day by day, Uniworld will continue to prioritise the safety of their guests and crew.

 

To alleviate guest concerns regarding their upcoming travel, Uniworld is announcing a temporary update to their cancellation policy for all 2020 cruises, allowing guests more time to make a decision about their individual plans.

 

For guests wanting to change their travel plans, they now have up to 14 days prior to their cruise to rebook on any 2020 or 2021 cruise without penalty or cancel and receive a Future Cruise Credit for the penalty amount incurred at time of cancellation. Non-penalised amount will be refunded at time of cancellation.

 

In addition, should the guest decide to rebook on another 2020 or 2021 departure or simply take a Future Cruise Credit, Uniworld will pay commission on the NEW booking, including applicable Future Cruise Credits, at the time of sailing. Guests also have the option to rebook with one of Uniworld’s sister brands for 2020 or 2021, including Insight Vacations, Luxury Gold, Trafalgar and African Travel.

 

Uniworld has always and will continue to reinforce stringent safety and thorough sanitation protocols aboard all ships, including: professional health and hygiene training for crew members; the required use of hand-sanitiser for all guests and crew when boarding the ship each day, entering public spaces and before all meals; outside railings disinfected three times a day; handrails wiped and disinfected at least once an hour; air-conditioning filters cleaned and disinfected on each embarkation day; frequent hand-washing and the use of gloves for crew when distributing guest luggage; buses and private transfer vehicles disinfected before each use; and staterooms thoroughly cleaned on a daily basis.

 

For precautionary measures, guests are also being asked to take a health declaration and questionnaire before boarding all Uniworld ships. Guests who have travelled from or through mainland China, South Korea, Iran or Italy or those that have been in close contact with anyone suspected or diagnosed with Covid-19 within 14 days before embarkation will not be permitted onboard.
