Obeo Travel DMC have launched a new corporate identity to reflect their business focus post-Covid. Rannveig Snorradottir (Founder & MD Obeo Travel) said, “We are in business for just close on 5 years now and we have learnt so much from our dear travel agents over that time. One thing we have learnt is to keep things simple, be it the initial contact you make to the quote you receive and the final documents for your clients’. Another thing we learnt is to keep things personal, not only with our agents but also with their clients. I think we have done well in that regard, but we can always do better”.

She added, “So, I am thrilled to announce that we have invested in a very smart back office system that will speed up our quotes, make fancier itineraries and allow us to spend more time in finding new attractions in Iceland and Namibia for our agents to sell. And the new logo, well, we just love it. Like us, the logo reflects our new revitalised spirit post-Covid where we will continue to focus on simplicity and reinvigoration. One that will not change, is our dedication to the travel agent. We look forward to hearing from you all again soon”.

OBEO Travel want to assist your clients going to Iceland:

It has been over a week of testing at Kef Airport since Iceland opens its borders to tourists. The airport testing procedure is going really well and since it started, a total of 12 positive tests have been identified with 9 of them being old, inactive cases and only 3 actual active cases tested. 3 tests are in quarantine. From 1st July, each test will cost ISK 150,000 (Children born 2005 and later are exempt). There are discussions with the authorities to start re-thinking this procedure and possibly allow some nationalities to be excluded from testing (and quarantine completely).

OBEO Travel Contribution:

OBEO wants to pay for your guest’s tests during the months of July and August. Sadly, OBEO cannot physically pay for their test (paid on the spot), so OBEO’s contribution will be in the form of €100PP discount off OBEO’s holiday package, applicable July and August 2020.

Note: Discount off holiday package, applicable July and August 2020. This discount will be eliminated in case testing procedure changes. The discount can only be redeemed if your guests are applicable and take the test at the airport.

For those of you who have booked in July & August with OBEO, OBEO will be in touch.
