Founded in 1951, Japan Airlines (JAL) became the first international airline in Japan.  A oneworld® member, JAL operates a modern fleet of 230 aircraft; and together with its codeshare partners offer services to 349 airports in 54 countries and regions worldwide. From Ireland passengers can choose to fly via Helsinki, Frankfurt, London, Paris, and connect to JAL daily direct flights to Tokyo Haneda and Narita. JAL has also partnered with British Airways, Finnair and Iberia in the Siberian Joint Business (SJB) to provide customers with more flight options, smoother connections, and a wider range of fares. JAL code-shares on British Airways flights from London to Tokyo and Osaka; and code-shares on Finnair operated flights from Helsinki to Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka and Sapporo (from December 2019).

In Japan, thanks to JAL’s domestic network that reaches over 30 cities across Japan, it is possible to include up to two domestic segments in the itinerary at no extra charge (airport taxes may vary).
