Irishman - Hits the heights in Las Vegas
30th November 2015 - 4:30pm
Global internet sensation Joseph Griffin made his triumphant return to Las Vegas last week to properly capture the sights and sounds of the iconic Las Vegas Strip. This time, he filmed a few familiar places from his original ‘selfie’ video paired with additional only in Vegas experiences. Griffin garnered the attention of more than 7 million YouTube views with his GoPro goof as he documented his very first trip to Las Vegas with the camera pointed directly at his face in selfie mode. This time, Las Vegas created a double-sided GoPro for Griffin to capture the imagery while simultaneously providing his colourful commentary.
“When we saw his video on YouTube, Griffin instantly inspired us with his candid view of our destination,” said Cathy Tull (Senior VP Marketing Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority). “We had to bring him back to Las Vegas and give him the opportunity to create and share memories to last a lifetime.”
While visiting for the second time, he was met by our own Tryphavana Cross (Las Vegas CVA Ireland)) and a stunning Las Vegas showgirl greeting him with a waiting limousine, ready to take him to his suite at The Mirage Hotel & Casino. From there, Griffin experienced well-known Las Vegas sights such as the High Roller at The LINQ Hotel & Casino, dinner at Delano Las Vegas’ Rivea, VIP nightlife experience at TAO Nightclub at The Venetian and a zip line ride down Slotzilla at the Fremont Street Experience.
In addition, Griffin, a former pilot, capped off his one-of-a-kind night by crossing off a bucket list experience; a night-time Maverick Helicopter tour providing a bird’s-eye view of the dazzling neon lights along the Strip.
