Graham Hennessy (DSD & Themeparks.com) Fam to Disney
24th November 2017 - 12:20pm
A group of lucky agents recently joined Graham Hennessy (DSD&ThemeParkBeds.com) on the direct Aer Lingus flight to Orlando to enjoy a magical week at Walt Disney World staying in Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge.
(DSD Mystery Reporter) - The groups first morning was spent at Disney's Hollywood Studios heading directly on to the RocknRoller Coaster and Tower of Terror. Leane Mulcahy from Limerick Travel won the Toy Story Mania challenge, with David Scollard from Tropical Sky, a close second. As part of the Disney dining plan, the group had lunch in the park before departing to Disney Springs for some shopping and evening entertainment.
Before visiting some of ThemeParkBeds.com top selling hotels in Walt Disney World agents enjoyed a character breakfast in the Grand Floridian where Mary Poppins, Tigger, Pooh and Alice in Wonderland all joined in for some Micky Waffles. All were then whisked off to Disney's Animal Kingdom! The Floridian sunshine pointed the group to the Kali River Rapids to cool down with the clever ones all wearing our ponchos to stay dry. Elaine McManus from Budget Travel convinced all she had her eyes open for the second time on Expedition Everest (a must do!) and then it was off to Disney's newest attraction, Avator Flight of Passage...unbelievable!
Disney World surprised all the following morning again with a reserved cabana in Typhoon Lagoon where Audrey Breen claimed the prize for fastest person on the Storm Slides.
A chorus of "wow's" echoed from the group as they walked through the gates of Disney's Magic Kingdom. Using their fast Pass+ which is automatically included in all Do Something Different and ThemeParkBeds.com tickets, they were able to go straight on Thunder Mountain and Space Mountain. Karl Moen from Disney had obviously done the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train before as he knew exactly when to pose for the camera. The group were lucky enough to go to Mickey's “not So Scary” Halloween Party where Janis Coulter from Cassidy Travel collected the most candy.
It was perfect timing for the group on their penultimate day as Disney had their amazing Disney Dreams cruise ship docked in Port Canaveral. A great morning was had by all onboard followed by a delicious lunch. Epcot was the next stop for the group where they sampled the International Food and Wine festival. The it was time for more cheers after disembarking Soarin ...a must for do for everybody visiting Disney’s Epcot centre. There was another surprise later in the night with a reserved area for all and a dessert party while enjoying the Illuminations Reflections of Earth show took place.
The final day for the group gave all members the opportunity to visit their 6 favourite Disney theme parks before boarding their direct Aer Lingus Orlando to Dublin flight home.
