Following the Sun on the MSC Seaview
15th June 2018 - 3:00pm

Antonio Paradiso and Rebecca Kelly (MSC Cruises)
MSC invited Travelbiz and members of the Irish travel trade onboard the newest addition to its cruise ship fleet, the MSC Seaview. Its official christening ceremony and the launch party was in its hometown of Genoa, Italy. Being an Italian brand, the event was done in exuberant style, with travel agents and media from all over the world getting a chance to experience this fantastic new vessel over the course of three days. As you would expect of this company, the standards were exceptional and the highlight was a black-tie gala night with stars, including MSC Godmother, Sophia Loren and senior MSC staff celebrating at the event with travel trade from around the globe.
The Seaview's tagline is "Following the Sun" and Antonio Paradiso (Managing Director UK & Ireland) explained the whole concept of the Seaview (and sister ship, Seaside) is to give the consumer the very best experience at sea. This ship features 73% balcony cabins - the most at sea, more outdoor areas than ever before, meaning increased space for passengers to lounge by the pool or dine alfresco. Also added to the offering is more speciality dining experiences on top of the existing high-quality food choice including the first at-sea eatery for Michelin-Starred Spanish chef Ramon Freixa. For something a little different and especially for chocolate lovers, MSC has partnered with renowned Italian chocolatier, Venchi (established in 1845). A whole host of crepes, gelato, chocolate infused coffees and bubbly to die for are on offer here.
