Craig Moffat (Holiday Village Experience Manager)
Holiday Village Majorca is one of Falcons premium family offerings and is located on the outskirts (1.2km away) of the seaside town of Cala Millor on the East coast of the island. A lively little town with a beautiful beachfront of golden sands and aquamarine water, this resort provides a complimentary shuttle service to the centre. This four star property (or 5 suns) offers 1-bed apartments, suites and duplex 1-bed apartments on an all-inclusive basis. As you would expect, there is a host of bars and restaurants to choose from, including a main buffet and a number of a la Carte dining options: Tex Mex, Italian and Indian. I was particularly impressed by the chic style of the Indian. Guests have the option to eat in each speciality restaurant once over their stay.
This expansive complex provides a range of activities for children of all ages with kids clubs for 0 to 11 year olds, as well as hang out areas for teenagers. Running throughout the day and evening are activities and entertainment (including live shows) with a lively, energetic atmosphere. There are 7 pools including ones with water slides for little and large alike. For the more adventurous, the Holiday Village features an arial adventure assault course. It has to be seen to be believed complete with harnesses, tight rope walks and massive climbing wall and slides.
If you feel like stepping away from the family madness for an hour or three, there is even an adult only, chill-out pool for some quiet solitude. In addition to the facilities, there are professionally taught swim, stage and soccer academies for kids (additional cost). These tend to book up fast so it is best to pre book to avoid any disappointment.
The hotel recently underwent a massive refurbishment and is modern, slick and stylish, definitely more like 4.9 star rather than 4 star.
