Key updates this week included:

Aer Lingus are offering an extension in the form of credit to allow further flexibility to flight bookings before 31 July 2020. This credit is for future travel and is valid from July 1, 2020 until July 31, 2021. Rebook the flights and reissue the original ticket by June 30, 2020. Should travel plans change further due to unprecedented circumstances, Aer Lingus will offer one additional change fee waiver free of charge. G Adventures has taken the necessary decision to further suspend all tours departing up to 30 June 2020. Booked & fully paid tours departing up to 30 June 2020 will receive a 110% travel credit on all booked tour services (incl. pre- & post-night accommodation & transfers) to be used on any tour departing up to 2 years from the tour’s suspension.  Tour bookings departing up to Sept 30, 2020 can transfer their booking to a future departure date for the same price or can pay in full and receive a 110% travel credit for a future tour.


G Adventures is notifying clients regarding tour suspensions and advising travellers with flight bookings to contact their insurance / air providers for details on compensation.

MSC Cruises announces the halting of all its cruise departures to 10 July (previously 29 May). MSC Cruises is offering a Future Cruise Credit (FCC) where guests can transfer the full amount paid for the cancelled cruise to a future cruise (on any ship, for any itinerary) until the end of 2021. Plus, UK & Irish guests will receive an additional 25% FCC to be used with the 100% voucher (see MSC website on how to claim the FCC).


MSC Cruises has extended the dates for the Flexible Cruise Programme to include all sailings from 11 July to 30 September 2020. Guests booked on an MSC Cruises ship, either directly or through a travel agent can reschedule their cruise to a future departure date through to 31 December 2021. Guests and their travel agents will be able to transfer any such bookings at no cost, to any ship with any itinerary in the MSC Cruises fleet.
