Cathay Pacific was in Dublin to kick-start a one-month countdown to the airline’s launch of Ireland’s first non-stop route to Hong Kong. The event was held in the Botanical Garden Bar at Opium, Wexford Street. Over 100 bloggers, members of the media, as well as the team from Dublin Airport, got to enjoy some signature Cathay Pacific cocktails, a dim sum masterclass and a host of tasty treats inspired by the airline's origin. The generous hosts also gave away a pair of premium economy tickets on the direct service to Hong Kong commencing 2nd June.

Members of Cathay told Travelbiz about how they will be using the airline’s newest fleet, the Airbus A350-900. This aircraft features state-of-the-art technology to enhance in-flight wellness. The combined effect of a lowered cabin altitude for a more comfortable experience, colour-combo cabin mood lighting and fresher air circulation helps passengers adjust to a new time zone, sleep better and assists in reducing jetlag, allowing passengers to make the most of their time away.
