Clem Walshe (MD Local Marketing.ie) brought The Caribbean Tourism Organisation Chapter UK & Europe and Partners to Belfast, Cork and Dublin last week. The networking and training events concluded in the Iveagh Garden Hotel, Dublin, and full advantage was taken of their beautiful outdoor space where guests gathered for refreshments and networking. The large attendance, including ITAA President, Paul Hackett, took the opportunity to meet with representatives of hotels and tourist boards and learn about the varied and excellent products on offer from the following Caribbean based trade partners.
- Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority
- Atelier de Hotels
- Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc.
- British Virgin Islands Tourist Board
- Casa de Campo Resort & Villas
- Elite Island Resorts
- Nassau Paradise Island
- Oasis Hotels & Resorts
- Saint Lucia Tourism Authority
- Sun Group Hotels
- TAP Air Portugal
- The Fives Hotels & Residences
Clem Walshe of Local Marketing.ie, organiser of the event, was delighted with the number of trade partners from the Caribbean who had taken the trouble to come to Ireland to meet ‘face to face’ with the Irish travel trade and with the interest shown in this beautiful part of the world noted for its superb weather, blue seas and incredible beaches all complemented by an array of excellent hotels suitable for families, couples and honeymooners.
The evening was topped off with a raffle and an amazing prize of 7 nights for two people in the world class The Verandah Resort and Spa, Antigua, on an all-inclusive basis, was won by Amanda from American Holidays.
