Click those castanets! In the hallowed grounds of 16th century Trinity College, Teresa Gancedo, Kathryn Mc Donnell and Sara Rivero, all from the Spanish Tourism Office Dublin were the usual fantastic hosts at the Andalucía Roadshow where that most favoured region of tourism showcased its wares once again to avid Irish travel agents.

Andalucía is undoubtedly southern Spain’s best known and best loved region and Irish visitors can’t get enough. In the auspicious surrounds of the East Dining Hall, haunting strains of flamenco split the air as an amazing group wowed the audience with Miguel Angel Sanchez Cuevas lead singer, Adriano on guitar and Diego on flute. Highly charged and emotional. Teresa Gancedo (Director Spanish Tourist Office Dublin) told us that international visitors to the region had increased by 5% from April 2018 to a staggering 7.2 million and 3 million Irish travel to Andalucía each year. Antonio Martin (International Marketing Director Turismo de Andalucía) said he enjoyed splendid weather this past few days in Spain, not in the Emerald Isle! John Spollen (President ITAA & Cassidy Travel) spoke eloquently on behalf of Irish travel agents and guaranteed Irish tourism would continue and increase as our longstanding love affair with Andalucía was well founded due to the infrastructure, physical beauty and wonderful people. Vamos!
