Aegean Airlines - A Feast Fit for the Grecian God's

Aegean Airlines and Dublin Airport hosted 45 travel agents at Cooks Academy celebrating cuisine led by renowned chefs, Giannis Rodokanakis (Operations Chef a la Carte, Aldemar Resorts) and Giorgos Chatzopoulos (Operations Executive Chef - Aldemar Resorts) for the 9th Greek Gourmet Touring, Sympossio and this being its third year coming to Ireland. Giannis explains Sympossio, "is not just about the technical aspects of food preparation, `we are being called upon to cook with our hands, minds and soul". Giorgos sees Sympossio, "as a group of friends who, through the art of cooking, aspire to extract as much aroma of Greece as possible".
Together, the group embraced the Greek energy and flavour and created mouth-watering dishes: spinach & cheese pies with feta sauce, aromatic chicken with vegetable trachanas, followed by caramelized phyllo pastry with yoghurt cream & grape spoon sweet.Lynda Betsch welcomed all and thanked the Irish travel trade for helping to fill their four flights a week to Athens. It was a really enjoyable and informative evening, reminding us that Greece is not just a sun destination but a foodie favourite too.
