A&G unveil their new Cruise Cover optional extra

11th January 2019 - 2:45pm

When speaking at the recent ‘launch’ (pardon the pun) of their new Cruise Cover Optional Extra, Craig Donnelly (Business Development Director A&G) made the point, “For many, booking a cruise can be the culmination of months or even years in the planning and could be the high cost trip of a lifetime – does it not make sense to ensure that your client has a comprehensive travel insurance policy to help protect that investment?”

As well as covering cruise connection, the enhanced product provides cover for unforeseen itinerary changes, unused excursions, cabin confinement and provides additional cruise interruption cover.

“Where a client may miss a ships’ departure from a mid-point port due to a medical condition requiring dry land treatment – we’ll get your client back to the ship. As well as making payment should a port be missed due to adverse weather or timetable restrictions. Given the rise in popularity in cruising, it made sense to develop a level of cover that truly benefits clients, particularly those who have an agent dynamically packaged cruise.”

“Initially the product will be available as an optional extra on all levels of A&G’s Fairsure policy, so the added benefits of the Fairsure policy are still built in. Being trade only, we are always actively seeking to deliver improved levels of cover and support that is vital in this changing environment.”

The product has been made available on the Accident and General issuing system from Friday 21st December and if you require further details, please contact Craig on cdonnelly@accidentgeneral.ie or telephone him on (01) 8748458.
