Winter in Dublin Returns with Its Most Dazzling Line-Up Yet

Music, theatre, lights and late-night magic to fill the capital this winter

Today, the spectacular programme for this year’s award-winning Winter in Dublin has been unveiled – promising a city alive with music, culture, and city buzz from November 2025 through January 2026.

This year Dublin has been recognised as a 2025 IFEA World Festival & Event City by the International Festivals & Events Association – an honour that celebrates the capital’s vibrant cultural calendar, and the economic impact of its events. This year’s edition of Winter in Dublin is back with a phenomenal programme of events, featuring remarkable live performances, immersive night tours, family favourites, and a host of festive surprises to delight Dubliners and visitors alike.

Plan Your Winter in Dublin 2025

Dublin by Night Fest– Saturday 1 November
The season kicks off with Dublin by Night Festival. For one unforgettable evening, Dame Street and Capel Street will transform into a vibrant playground of late-night markets, music, and interactive art. Expect food, fashion, and dozens of emerging Irish acts lighting up the city after dark.

The Hottest Live Music
From intimate gigs to headline shows, Dublin’s world-class music scene takes centre stage this winter. The stirring Dublin quartet SPRINTS play Vicar Street on Thursday 20 November, following their acclaimed 2024 debut Letter To Self. Expect an emotionally rich, goosebump-inducing night of viral indie-pop hits, exclusive new material from Dodie who will play the National Stadium on Friday 21st November.

Twilight Tours at St. Patrick’s Cathedral – 4–25 November
As twilight falls, the ancient bells toll, resonating through the city’s soul. Step inside the majestic St. Patrick’s Cathedral, where history whispers through every stone and the bells ring out to invite visitors on guided night tours through centuries of stories and legends.

DoDublin Christmas Lights Tours – from 21 November
Hop aboard the open-top DoDublin Christmas Tour and see the city’s landmarks sparkle — from Samuel Beckett Bridge to Grafton Street — accompanied by festive songs, stories and carols.

Ballet Ireland’s Cinderella at the Gaiety – 12–15 November
An Irish twist on a timeless tale: Cinderella is reimagined as a 1950s New York dreamer in this enchanting adaptation.

Love Actually in Concert – 20 December, The Convention Centre Dublin
A Christmas classic returns, as the RTÉ Concert Orchestra performs the iconic score live-to-film in a heartwarming cinematic experience.

Dublin City Council Dublin Winter Lights

This year, the much-loved Dublin Winter Lights will shine brighter than ever — transforming the city centre into a glittering open-air gallery. Epic light installations will illuminate some of Dublin’s most iconic landmarks, buildings, bridges, trees and statues, casting a festive glow from the Liffey to Merrion Square Park.

“Winter in Dublin celebrates what makes this city so special — its creativity, its character, and its capacity to bring people together.” says Emma Woods Head of Marketing Communications, Fáilte Ireland. “Whether it’s a late-night street festival, a world-class concert, or simply a stroll through the city under the lights, this year’s programme promises to bring buzz and excitement all across Dublin.”

From the hottest gigs and theatre, lights to laughter, Winter in Dublin is where the season begins. Explore the full programme at VisitDublin.com and follow @VisitDublin across social media using #WinterInDublin #LoveDublin
