Western Massachusetts brings Dr. Seuss to town!

A fun evening in Bewley’s Café on Dublin’s Grafton Street on Tuesday May 7th was hosted by Western Massachusetts. This exciting region is well served by the Aer Lingus flight directly into Bradley Airport, just 20 minutes from Springfield. Home to many attractions including The Amazing World of Dr. Seuss Museum at the Springfield Museum, the gals from Explore Western Mass set us to work! Our focus last night was to paint a Dr Seuss hat on a jute bag.

The atmosphere was fun and certainly colourful! There were a few masterpieces and definite hints of Jackson Pollock and Picasso! Springfield is also home to Yankee Candle Village, Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, MGM Springfield Six Flags New England and the Big E – New England’s six state fair. That’s quite a lot of good reasons to travel to Western Mass and enjoy a lovely area of New England.
