Visit Portugal Trade Roadshow Lights Up Dublin

#Traveltradetogether

The Visit Portugal Trade Roadshow arrived in Dublin last night, bringing together top-tier Portuguese trade suppliers and Ireland’s travel industry professionals for a vibrant evening of business, networking, and destination promotion. The event was hosted at the historic Smock Alley Theatre and proved to be a huge success with a massive turnout from the retail and wholesale travel sectors.

Peter O’Hanlon, Sales Director of Travelbiz and Travelfinders, joined Carlos Pinto de Oliveira, Director of Visit Portugal in Ireland, to welcome guests and partners. The evening offered full trade interaction, strong connectivity, and valuable commercial opportunities, reaffirming Portugal as one of Ireland’s favourite destinations.

The roadshow continues today in Waterford and moves on to Cork tomorrow, ensuring regional agents also have the chance to engage directly with Portuguese tourism experts.

Special Guests and Industry Support

A notable presence on the night was Clare Dunne, CEO of the Irish Travel Agents Association (ITAA), who addressed attendees and thanked Carlos and all Portuguese partners for their continued and enthusiastic support. Her remarks also highlighted the significance of the upcoming ITAA Conference, set to take place in Centro Portugal from October 1st–5th, 2025.

Registrations are now open, and the conference presents a unique opportunity for the Irish travel trade to explore and support this captivating region.
