Visit Malta Welcomes Irish Trade Partners to Celebrate Continued Support

#Traveltradetogether

#TravelbizConnect #TravelbizHub #VisitMalta Visit Malta Trade Aer Lingus Malta Tourism Authority

Don Shearer, Managing Director of Travelbiz and Travelfinders, brings you the latest Visit Malta update.

Tolene Van Der Merwe, Director of Tourism for the UK and Ireland at Malta Tourism Authority, hosted an exclusive evening in Dublin to thank Irish trade and media partners for their continued support. The event also marked a warm welcome to Her Excellency Fiona-Jayne Formosa, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Malta to Ireland.

Held at the elegant Ely Wine Bar, the evening featured exquisite cuisine and fine wines, creating the perfect setting for celebration and conversation. In her address, Tolene expressed her gratitude to the Irish travel trade and media whose efforts have helped elevate Ireland to eighth place in terms of market share for inbound tourism to Malta. Visitor numbers from Ireland have now reached nearly 70,000 annually, with continued growth expected.

With direct flights from Dublin operated by Aer Lingus and Ryanair Malta is more accessible than ever with direct flights from Dublin and Shannon. Boasting over 3,000 hours of sunshine per year, rich cultural heritage, stunning Mediterranean landscapes, and three UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Malta continues to be a highly attractive destination for Irish holidaymakers.

A special thank you goes to Sharon Plunkett and Mark Walsh of Plunkett PR for organising the event and for their ongoing support of all things Malta.
