Valencia Region Present to the Trade

#Traveltradetogether

Jacinta from Travelbiz attended a wonderful presentation on the many delights of the Region of Valencia in association with the Spanish Tourism Office in Dublin, in collaboration with the Confederation of Hospitality (CONHOSTUR) and the Council of Chambers of the Valencia region. Having had the pleasure and privilege of visiting Valencia myself, I was thrilled to experience again the amazing products and wines on offer in this beautiful destination. The always pro-active Spanish Tourism Office in Dublin headed up by the pure positivity of Director Ruben Lopez and ably assisted by his excellent team (Kathryn, Sara, Borja and Bertha), organised this event through Bizex with Maria Hourican at the helm.

The Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin is the venue to showcase the talents of three Michelin-starred chefs from the Valencia region and an amazing sommelier. What a treat! Wines, food and hospitality were all superb. His Excellency, Jon de la Riva, our new Spanish Ambassador to Ireland, spoke passionately of the Valencia region but also remarked on the lovely Irish landscape. Valencia is so well served too with access into 3 adjacent airports: Valencia itself, Alicante and Castellon. It was a packed house in the Great Room in the Shelbourne and we assimilated and appreciated the detailed information and videos on this beautiful and diverse region. From amazing architecture to fabulous fresh produce, local markets, glorious beach, festivals like Las Fallas and, not forgetting paella and oranges, I’m already a convert to the Valencia region. So, the rest of you need to get booking! Espana, por favor.
