United Airlines Marks 25th Anniversary of Dublin – New York/Newark Service

Almost 3.5 million customers carried on the route since 1998 on over 20,000 flights.

United Airlines is marking the 25th anniversary of its nonstop service between Dublin and New York/Newark. Since its launch in June 1998, the airline has carried almost 3.5 million customers on over 20,000 flights on that route. Today, United operates daily year-round nonstop flights from Dublin to New York/Newark and Washington D.C., as well as seasonal nonstop flights from Dublin to Chicago.

During the summer season, United’s nonstop daily services from Dublin to New York/Newark are operated with Boeing 777-200 aircraft and Boeing 757-200 aircraft.  The Boeing 777-200 features 50 all-aisle-access United PolarisSM business, 24 United Premium PlusSM premium economy, 46 Economy PlusSM and 156 economy seats. The Boeing 757-200 features a total of 169 seats – 16 flat-bed seats in United Polaris business class and 153 in economy, including 45 Economy Plus seats with added legroom and increased personal space.

During the winter season, the route is operated with Boeing 767-400ER aircraft featuring 34 United Polaris business class lie-flat seats, 24 United Premium Plus seats, 48 Economy Plus seats and 125 standard economy seats.

United Polaris business class is a premium travel experience that prioritises relaxation and comfort, featuring quality inflight dining, premium amenity kits and full flat-bed seats.

United Premium Plus features a spacious seat with more legroom, elbow room and recline than a standard Economy Plus or economy seat, as well as an amenity kit and a Saks Fifth Avenue blanket and plush pillow.

United Economy Plus offers added legroom and increased personal space. Located near the front of the economy cabin, the seats give the added benefit of a swifter exit from the plane on arrival. Economy Plus seating is available on all trans-Atlantic flights.

United economy offers complimentary food, soft drinks, juices, beer and wine, tea, coffee and inflight entertainment. On most aircraft, seats feature an adjustable headrest and a personal on-demand entertainment system.

United in Ireland

United has served Ireland since 1998. In addition to the year-round daily nonstop service from Dublin to New York/Newark, United offers year-round daily nonstop flights from Dublin to Washington D.C., seasonal nonstop flights from Dublin to Chicago, as well as seasonal daily nonstop services from Shannon to New York/Newark and Chicago. Located just 14 miles from Manhattan, Newark Liberty International Airport offers the fastest surface transfer journeys to many parts of the city, including the AirTrain service to New York Penn Station in midtown Manhattan, with a journey time of less than 30 minutes.

This summer, United plans to operate over 430 daily flights to 151 destinations in 44 countries from Newark. United’s Newark hub is its largest transatlantic gateway.
