Unforgettable. A true Irish welcome at Fitzpatrick’s Grand Central and Manhattan for Irish Travel Trade NYC Convention delegation.

#Traveltradetogether

Don Shearer (Travelbiz) was joined by Irish Travel Trade members as a guest of Tryphavana Cross (Sales & Marketing and PR Senior Director for NYC Tourism and Conventions) for a truly memorable Irish Fitzpatrick’s Grand Central and Manhattan welcome reception as part of their weeklong New York City Tourism convention experience, staying in Fitzpatrick’s Grand Central and Manhattan based properties.

The Fitzpatrick’s Hotel Management team hosing us on the night included Shane Cookman, Area General Manager Fitzpatrick’s Hotel Group, Chris O’ Sullivan General Manager Fitzpatrick’s Manhattan and Patrick Leydan, General Manager Fitzpatrick’s Grand Central.

It was a perfect start to our New York experience as we were treated to fines wines, really good pints of Guinness and food in the heated patio courtyard area adjacent to The Wheeltapper, nestled off the hotel’s lobby, a very popular destination for locals and hotel guests alike.

Our Travel Trade delegation from Ireland included: Dee Burdock – American Holidays, Colleen Butler – Bookabed, Rianne Byrne – Cassidy Travel, Linda Ryan – Click & Go, Sharon Menzies – Club Travel, Barry Hammond – Sunway Travel, Sandra Corkin – Oasis Travel, Ruth O. Mahony – Tour America, Dominic Burke – Travel Centres and Michelle MacBeath – Travel Solutions.

Upon arrival to their rooms the group got a great surprise with Teddy Fitz delivering Tayto Crisps, Club Orange, Barry’s Tea and a bottle of bubbly, a great way to tuck in and prepare for the week ahead.

The Fitzpatrick Grand Central hotel, akin to its sibling, Fitzpatrick’s Manhattan, situated 12 blocks away (a 15-minute walk), exudes a welcoming Irish charm within a sophisticated setting. Positioned adjacent to the world-renowned Grand Central Terminal, guests benefit from convenient access to all corners of Manhattan. Within strolling distance lie the vibrant Theatre District, iconic Times Square, the esteemed United Nations, and must-visit landmarks such as the Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, and the renowned shopping haven of Fifth Avenue.

Featuring 144 deluxe rooms and 11 suites, the hotel offers comfortable accommodations suitable for both leisure and business travelers. Each room boasts separate sitting areas, workstations, and plush beds, ensuring a restful stay.

Guests of either Fitzpatrick’s properties can avail themselves of complimentary access to the nearby New York Sport Club, located just three blocks away (Don was there every morning). The club provides a variety of fitness equipment along with amenities such as sauna and steam rooms, allowing guests to maintain their workout regimen while away from home.

The Wheeltrapper, nestled off the hotel’s lobby, serves as a popular destination for locals and hotel guests alike. Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner throughout the day, its heated outdoor patio Courtyard makes it an inviting spot regardless of the season.

Both Hotels imbued with Irish charm, boast prime locations and offer bespoke service, opulent accommodations, and unparalleled value. Shane, Chris, Patrick and all the staff take pride in crafting experiences that foster lasting satisfaction, drawing guests back to our doorstep time and again.

“We firmly believe that travelers seek not just accommodation, but a genuine sense of warmth and comfort while on the road. Our mission is to deliver memorable stays by seamlessly blending the genuine hospitality of Ireland with the personalized touch of a boutique hotel. We aim to create unforgettable moments, ensuring our guests feel cherished and cared for throughout their stay.”
